Our Fine/Medium Washed Sand (R) is a premium, free-draining sand characterised by a high concentration of fine particles (0.15-0.25mm) and a smaller proportion of medium particles (0.25-0.50mm). The saturated hydraulic conductivity rate is confirmed at 755mm/hr.
The characteristics of this sand, subject to your requirements, makes our Fine/Medium Washed Sand (R) a good choice for your top dressing requirements for sports pitches and formal/high use lawns.
This sand is also ideal for a wide range of landscape applications where a free-draining subsoil is required, including the planting of larger root-balled trees in both soft and hard landscape situations, podium landscapes, SuDS Rain Gardens and SuDS Bio Retention Systems.
